DATA Transfer to and from CADverter.com

The preferred method is to use Anonymous FTP via the Internet to the cadverter.com FTP site at ftp://ftp.cadverter.com

Files being collected from cadverter.com should be retrieved from the directory named "outgoing" using the FTP command "get" and a filename agreed by Theorem Solutions.

Alternative Methods

E-mail can be used if FTP (the preferred method) is not available. The e-mail address that should be used is bureau@theorem.com Data sent using this method will only be accepted as an attached file and the size of the e-mail is limited to a maximum of 4MB. Please be aware that some ISP's impose an e-mail size limitation smaller than 4MB.

Data is best compressed if the method of transfer is via the Internet.

Unix.

* gzip/gunzip. This is cadverter.com's preferred compression utility, and it can be downloaded from the following Web Site http://www.gnu.org/software/software.htm Multiple files can be compressed onto 1 file using gzip.

* Compress/uncompress (standard Unix command)

* Pack/unpack (standard Unix command)

If there are multiple compressed files for transfer they could be placed within a single tar file for ease of transfer.

Windows.

* Winzip. This is cadverter.com's preferred compression utility, and it can be downloaded from the following Web Site http://www6.winzip.com/ddchome.htm Multiple files can be compressed onto 1 file using Winzip.
