CADDS - ICEM Surf CADverter Translation Service

CADverter is a direct database converter between CADDS5 and ICEM Surf. It enables the user to convert all forms of mechanical design geometry, and CADDS assembly structure, which will be mapped into a single ICEM file, it also converts attribute information, between these two systems.

CADverter is provided as a bi-directional translator between CADDS and ICEM Surf.

It can be used Interactively or in a batch mode, from a standard G.U.I Interface.

If you wish to visualize and interrogate the CADDS files this can be done by using the integrated CADviewer product, which is included with CADverter.

CADverter reads and writes CADDS data independent of the native CAD System and converts all geometry. If CADDS assembly data (product structure) is in the file, the assembly structure will be mapped into a single ICEM file as well as colour and layer information. The translator supports the I Part A File (Support for the new ICEM Surf database, Surf 4.4 onwards scheduled for Summer 2004).

The user can filter data to optimize the process. In addition CADverter will work with other Theorem products including CADhealer and Data Exchange Navigator.
